The first and second floors will consolidate most of Colchester's town functions including; Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Planning and Zoning, the Town Clerk/Treasurer's offices, Town Manager's offices, a Community Development office as well as a second vault for vital records. The new Colchester Municipal Building is a wood frame structure on a steel support sub-structure. The building has energy efficient systems, products and equipment throughout, as well as advanced insulation techniques and products. The exterior framed walls are 7 ¼” thick filled with spray applied cellulose insulation creating a superior R-28 rating. With the future spaces integrated into the design, as well as the energy efficiency throughout, it is obvious that Stewart Construction is building for the future with the Town of Colchester.
